The business was founded in 2005 by Dr Alison Edwards who has considerable experience in developing market access strategies for both products in development and those already on the market. Alison started her career in clinical research with Boots Pharmaceuticals in 1989 and moved into market access some years later.

In 1999, with the introduction of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), she became involved in Health Technology Appraisals and made one of the first submissions to NICE and has been working on technology appraisals and market access ever since. She has been involved in a number of successful submissions to NICE, the Scottish Medicines Consortium and the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group.
